outdoor sewing attempt two

Outdoor sewing attempt two...

It's one of those rare, perfect, New England summer days today. It's 75 degrees, sunny and dry with clear bright blue sky. If you have been unlucky enough to live in New England this past summer, you know how precious this weather is. Weeks of a scorching hot heat wave and humidity that has made any possibility of a sleek blowout in my naturally rats nest-esque curls a distant springtime memory has been interrupted only by hurricane like rainstorms.

Sorry, I don't mean to whine. The point of this blog wasn't to complain about the weather but to let you in on my plan to enjoy today to the fullest. Here's the deal.... I have a few sewing projects that I planned on working on today (I have a picture of a fabric rosette bib necklace in my head that I've been dieing to create). My problem is that it's just way too gorgeous out today to waste a day indoors. So the only solution seems to be to take this show on the road, or at least the patio.

You may have noticed that I titled this blog "outdoor sewing attempt two". I faced this same dilemma one day last year but without the use of an extension cord long enough to reach the patio table my mission was aborted before it began. So now with extra long extension cord, sunscreen, sewing machine, sunscreen and maybe a pitcher of margaritas in hand I will attempt again.

Wish me luck! I will let you know how it turn out!
